A Telephone Business Development Manager (BDM) plays a pivotal role in driving growth for the business and reinforcing the mission, vision and values mentioned above. Integral to the development of distribution, user outreach, market analysis and system improvements. This is all focused on building a board and balanced user base whilst promoting best-in-class systems and technology on offer to the later-life sector.
A TBDM for a later-life sourcing system plays an integral role in the wider sector and benefits from having a truly holistic view of our market. Having links in with all the lender and valuable third parties, not to mention our amazing adviser base give this role a unique advantage and oversight. This role comes with a strong vision of career development as it is really the very start of a distribution team here at Advise Wise.
Below are the key roles and responsibilities of the position in question:
Lead Generation:
Actively identify and target potential advisory firms within the later-life advice space. Research and assess these firms to ensure they align with the company's target demographic and understand their business needs and goals.
Adviser Outreach:
Initiate and maintain contact with prospects through calls, emails, meetings and other communication channels such as social media to ensure business continuity and the widening of the brand.

Relationship Building:
Foster and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at adviser firms to build and maintain a pipeline of prospective users and manage ongoing relationships. Ensuring adviser retention. As a TBDM it is great to work with and understand the long-term goals of our advisers and help them achieve those goals through educating and selling our platform solutions. It is this added value and personalisation of approach that will stand us out from our competitors.
Sales and Conversion:
Effectively communicate Advise Wise's value proposition to potential advice firms. Gain confidence and commitment in the value proposition of Advise Wise by understanding a client's needs, addressing objections, and negotiating value terms.
Market Analysis:
Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor initiatives. Provide regular market insights and feedback to inform strategic planning and direction.
Sales Reporting and Analytics:
Track and report on engagement activities and use data and analytics to refine sales strategies and improve performance.
Goal Achievement:
Set and achieve sales targets and objectives in alignment with company goals. Develop and implement strategies and campaigns to meet or exceed targets.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the marketing team to align user engagement efforts with marketing campaigns. Collaborate with other departments, such as our helpdesk and system development team, to ensure adviser needs are met. Work alongside the National account manager to target and attain a broad and balanced user base along with a solid value proposition for our platform users.
Continuous Learning:
Stay current with industry knowledge and sales techniques through training and self-development. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Advise Wise's proposition to effectively convey its' value to potential users.
Feedback and Improvement:
Solicit feedback from users and incorporate it into product/service improvement discussions. Continuously improve sales processes and strategies based on feedback and results.
Qualifications and education requirements
Mandatory:
Telephony sales experience along with time spent within the later life market.
Desirable qualifications
CeMAP/CeRER or equivalent

The purpose of the Platform and Mortgage Club Manager is to support financial advisors who specialise in Later Life advice, helping them get their clients the best possible customer outcomes. You'll be working one-to-one with financial advisors, whilst support business growth. You'll be working in an enthusiastic, talented, hard-working team with a focus on providing exceptional support services to financial advisors.
In addition, you'll be building your own product knowledge and extensive understanding of the cutting- edge Advise Wise Platform & support systems. working alongside the sales team you will be responsible for the accuracy and maintenance of our sourcing platform. Liaising with lenders, solicitors and various third parties to gather, implement and verify data accuracy.
Key Outputs
- Being the go-to person for all advisor queries, you will need to keep up to date with the later life market and how our software works.
- Providing first-class support to advisers through phone calls, email and live chat with a focus on efficiently resolving their specific query.
- Help identify and resolve challenges encountered by advisors using our online platform.
- Provide online, interactive software demos to prospective advisors.
- Ensure advisors love using our software and encourage them to leave us positive reviews.
- Make Inbound and outbound calls for adviser support and relationship building.
- Input, verify and manage advisor records inside our internal CRM.
- Management of shared email inboxes and live chat function.
- Updating internal systems with product & rate changes.
- Verify and manage product records on live sourcing.
- Liaising with internal teams to rectify tech issues.
- Other operational ad-hoc duties as and when required by the business.

- Experience within financial services, ideally Equity Release/Mortgage markets.
- Lifetime Mortgage product knowledge.
